There\u2019s no shortage of resources available for founders \u2013 one you\u2019ve likely heard us mention before is the Canada Alberta Job Grant<\/a>. Under this grant, the government contributes two-thirds of training costs to a maximum of $10,000 per trainee per year, which is pretty incredible, right? \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n 321 courses have\u202falways <\/em>been eligible for this grant, but there are some program changes that you need to know. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, who can apply<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Eligibility for the program has changed for the next while. The list of people who are eligible\u00a0will\u00a0now include:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n You read that right: founders\/owners of small Alberta companies are eligible \u2013 there\u2019s no better time for founders to level up their game.\u00a0 Good to know info:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n How does this work with 321\u2019s courses? <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n When you\u2019re ready to apply, get in touch with <\/a>us<\/a> \u2013 we\u2019ve got some course info that you\u2019ll need to submit with your application. <\/p>\n\n\n\n What\u2019s the process?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n 1: Read the\u00a0Canada-Alberta Job Grant Applicant Guide<\/a>\u202f How to get payment:\u00a0<\/strong> I have more than 4 employees, what can I do?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sadly, as an owner of a larger company, you can\u2019t get funding for your own training under this grant \u2013 but you can still leverage this program to get your team ready to rock.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n What if we\u2019re not<\/strong> Alberta<\/strong>-based<\/strong>?<\/strong>\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n No sweat! Though the job grant in other provinces hasn\u2019t been amended to include founders, it\u2019s still a great resource to fund employee training. Employers pay 100 percent upfront and receive reimbursement for up to two-thirds of eligible costs as verified by receipts after program completion. (You can also apply to have 2 payment installments).\u00a0

2: Fill out the Training Completion\u00a0on the\u202fLabour\u2019s Workforce Grants Portal<\/a>\u00a0within 30 days of program completion. Remember, all your company’s participants must complete the training in full to qualify for payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
