Meet 321&#8217;s newly expanded team!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A long time ago, in a startup far far away, I worked with a great team \u2013 including amazing folks like&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/alice-reimer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alice Reimer<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/reimerbrian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brian Reimer<\/a>&nbsp;and John Eddy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In our 1:1 meetings, John always said, \u201cCarey, business is a team sport.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was right. With what I know now, I\u2019d amend that to \u201cg<em>rowing<\/em>&nbsp;a business is a team sport.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">321 has been through an amazing journey these last (almost) 6 years.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve gone from our initial pilot cohort of our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/321growthacademy.com\/sales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lean Sales<\/a>&nbsp;course, in early 2017 to having what we believe are the best options in the market \u2013 for both Sales and Marketing. And we make substantial investments annually to ensure that remains the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have worked with thousands of founders and team members from 440+ startups and scale-ups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>68% of our alumni companies report revenue growth, and 30% report doubling their revenue.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>80% report growth in the number of customers or users, and 34% report doubling customer counts.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve been blessed to work with the most amazing partners across the region, including Platform Calgary,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/innovatecalgary.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Innovate Calgary<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/innovateedmonton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Innovate Edmonton<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.startupedmonton.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Startup Edmonton<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.co-labs.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Co.Labs<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/intergenconnect.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Intergen<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thinairlabs.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thin Air Labs<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/creativedestructionlab.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Creative Destruction Lab<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/the51.com\/\">The51<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alberta-enterprise.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alberta Enterprise Corporation<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thea100.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The A100<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bdc.ca\/en?gclid=Cj0KCQjw0oyYBhDGARIsAMZEuMvSQCwGSq2DImE42Nfvv3EfDG6xxNqlt4Y0TntxkP50E6tuhiLpsWkaAncjEALw_wcB&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BDC,<\/a>&nbsp;several Alberta Regional Innovation Networks,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/albertainnovates.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alberta Innovates<\/a>\u2026 I\u2019m sure I\u2019m missing some \u2013 apologies!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re grateful for the ongoing support of the many investors, funds, and ecosystem leaders that have helped us get where we are. Too many to list, but you know who you are!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022 we launched&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/joinonramp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OnRamp<\/a>, focused on helping more great people find their way into tech. In short, we aim to close that talent gap we all keep hearing about. We are wrapping up our first cohort of Digital Marketing this fall and have an impressive group that will launch their careers in our industry soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are fortunate to have the support of a strong group of startups and scale-ups, industry partners and funders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The engine behind this growth and impact is our amazing team.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sarahmorrill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sarah&nbsp;<\/a>has been with 321 since literally day one \u2013 working part-time (as a favour!) to support the first pilot cohort. She now heads our business development and customer success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/chantelelliott\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chantel<\/a>&nbsp;joined as a 321 instructor and as Program Director, to make OnRamp come to life and is helping to ramp up our courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>I couldn\u2019t be more pleased to announce that Sarah and Chantel are joining 321 as Partners \u2013 digging in to take us to the next level of impact.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">And behind them is an amazing team.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/michael-beedie-891991125\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Michael<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/emilyalliston\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Emily<\/a>&nbsp;run our Customer Success team, ensuring our cohorts continue to achieve world-class NPS scores and high impact for participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/gillian-deyl-b06176a5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gillian<\/a>&nbsp;is our Marketing Manager, helping us get the word out and support our community with ongoing opportunities to keep engaging and learning and growing. And she\u2019s supported by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/lindsaybear\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lindsay<\/a>&nbsp;who leads social and design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are backed by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thevirtualgurus.com\/\">Camilla<\/a>&nbsp;from Virtual Gurus, who\u2019s been amazing at helping manage our accounting and bookkeeping through our growth.
