A long time ago, in a startup far far away, I worked with a great team – including amazing folks like Alice Reimer, Brian Reimer and John Eddy.
In our 1:1 meetings, John always said, “Carey, business is a team sport.”
He was right. With what I know now, I’d amend that to “growing a business is a team sport.”
321 has been through an amazing journey these last (almost) 6 years.
We’ve gone from our initial pilot cohort of our Lean Sales course, in early 2017 to having what we believe are the best options in the market – for both Sales and Marketing. And we make substantial investments annually to ensure that remains the case.
We have worked with thousands of founders and team members from 440+ startups and scale-ups.
- 68% of our alumni companies report revenue growth, and 30% report doubling their revenue.
- 80% report growth in the number of customers or users, and 34% report doubling customer counts.
We’ve been blessed to work with the most amazing partners across the region, including Platform Calgary, Innovate Calgary, Innovate Edmonton, Startup Edmonton, Co.Labs, Intergen, Thin Air Labs, Creative Destruction Lab, The51, Alberta Enterprise Corporation, The A100, BDC, several Alberta Regional Innovation Networks, Alberta Innovates… I’m sure I’m missing some – apologies!

In 2022 we launched OnRamp, focused on helping more great people find their way into tech. In short, we aim to close that talent gap we all keep hearing about. We are wrapping up our first cohort of Digital Marketing this fall and have an impressive group that will launch their careers in our industry soon.
We are fortunate to have the support of a strong group of startups and scale-ups, industry partners and funders.

Sarah has been with 321 since literally day one – working part-time (as a favour!) to support the first pilot cohort. She now heads our business development and customer success.
Chantel joined as a 321 instructor and as Program Director, to make OnRamp come to life and is helping to ramp up our courses.
I couldn’t be more pleased to announce that Sarah and Chantel are joining 321 as Partners – digging in to take us to the next level of impact.
And behind them is an amazing team.
Michael and Emily run our Customer Success team, ensuring our cohorts continue to achieve world-class NPS scores and high impact for participants.
Gillian is our Marketing Manager, helping us get the word out and support our community with ongoing opportunities to keep engaging and learning and growing. And she’s supported by Lindsay who leads social and design.
We are backed by Camilla from Virtual Gurus, who’s been amazing at helping manage our accounting and bookkeeping through our growth. A lifesaver!
